The National Museum of Indonesia, is an archaeological, historical, ethnological, and geographical museum located in Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, right on the west side of Merdeka Square.

This is one of the major street in Jakarta, close to the Monument National, our Gambir train station, also the Presidential Palace.

New street regulation wouldn't allow any motorcycle to pass this road any more. Yet, the car also have new regulation, for the last license plate with even and odd numbers, depends on the date in the calendar. You definitely need to follow through and aware if you're going to travel around this area and coming from out of town.

Because the fine will be very high, if you're actually break the street regulation in this area.
"Be aware of even and odd numbers cars regulation, for license plate numbers, depends on the date in the calendar. Monday-Friday, unless it’s a National Holiday, start 7-10 in the morning and 4-8 in the afternoon”

NATIONAL MUSEUM
 After you pay for the entrance fee, and it's only for IDR 5K and foreigner 10K, you can already enter the whole facility. The new building will be on your right as you enter the main lobby. But, if you go straight forward, you can see these beautiful white pillars, can't you imagine this building stand from 1862?

                                                                     


As you walking inside, there are lots of stones, and also collection of things. Feel free to browse   around, and getting to know all the collections inside. 

THE GAMELAN
Once can also learn to play the 'gamelan' in the museum, they have some of the course you can actually attend to play this.
TRADITIONAL HOUSE
There are still a lot of things you can learn from going to a museum, some people actually find it very dull and boring to enter a museum. But, if you like learning more about your origin country, and how we actually become a civilization today. You might want to try coming to this place.
