  • Say Hey!
Last weekend was not really fun for me. Why? Because having a friend telling me of the heartbroken situation, not really a comforting one. Thankfully, I'm one of those friends who you can call, in time like this. I've heard so many stories and getting involved in some of them. Still, never get used to them crying their heart out, especially men.

Sometimes, I can understand when men confused when facing their ladies crying. I guess, I kinda know how confusing it was. You can't ever rationalize what they have in mind, but you can always feel the way they feel if you recall your experiences.

To me, broken heart is a wonderful feeling. Crazy huh?

There are moments in life when you feel the unbearable pain inside, you just want to die. You would do anything just to make it go away, nothing can help to ease the pain. Alcohols, lots of weed even cutting your wrists, you tried everything but none helping you. The pain lingers.

You convince yourself, the need of that one person to heal you. Only that one person, can help you get through this painful experience. Too bad, honey, that one person also the one causing you the painful heartbreak. Then, what should you do? Just feel the pain. Feel with all you might. No matter how unbearable the feelings, just drink it all in. Feel it with all your might, even I know it hurts like hell. Cry if you must, but convince yourself to get up and face the world after.

This is sound so easy to read, but it's really not. I can write and tell you this because I've been there, done that, for some amount of time in this lifeline. Being stupid and lost myself in between, until I don't even know who I really am, and who am I suppose to become.

One thing for sure, all of this will pass. I'm not saying it's easy but it will pass, then you'll feel alive again, at some point. But, always remember this unbearable pains, if you can't handle it anymore, do not give you all to the one you love, until you really find the one you can truly love.

Because when you believe, the universe will conspire to fulfill it. Do you even know there is no gold at the end of the rainbow? But, surely there is love and happiness.

I pray that you will constantly be happier,
I pray that the sorrow in your heart will subside, eventually,
I pray and hoping that one day you can forgive yourself for being stupid,
I pray that someday, you can understand there is a moment when you need to love and care for yourself, more than anyone in your life.

Life is full of amazing and scary surprises, and it's just only the way we encounter them,
will give meaning to what is scary or amazing.

So, here I am, wishing and hoping you will always have a great life ahead, amazing friends!

Don't limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.
- Mary Kay Ash -

Looking back, I can't believe it's been thirteen years. I just realize nothing good actually coming out from this blog. While some and more of my blogger friends evolved. Becoming a good writer and publishing some novels even book. They got a chance to go traveling for free because of their religiously writing on their blog.

While I just let it float and too busy with the reality of life.

August 2003, when I started my first writing in here, some kind of  'online request letter' from an online friend. I don't even know how he is doing right now, but hope all is great and awesome with him. Now, going back and looking all those writings, really make me feel old! haha...

All for the sake of learning how to write my heart out. Now, I will leave my thirties soon, how time flies when you try to have fun with life.

People learned from the past mistakes. Especially dealing with so many broken hearts, unhappy life and being rejected. I also learned the hard way of dealing with those, in private and professional way. Experiencing a different kind of jobs, meeting good, awesome and not-so-good bosses. Crying over difficulties in life, arguing with the parent, running away from life itself. I've done it all.

But, most of all, I do feel proud of myself, even though everything seems to fall apart. I still can keep my head upright, I can still be humble within, and just try not to get into trouble that much, other than being tipsy on some beer bottles *big-grin*

Now, life seems all good to me. So, I start to prepare myself and facing the life ahead with more positive attitude, more content and just BE HAPPY! I guess this is the key of all things. Traveling has given me more happy-go-lucky feeling, because I got a chance to do, what I love the most. Hopefully, this will get me to that happy place.

So, don't worry if you're in a confusing place right now. It's part of the recognition of your life. Someday, this will pass and you will remember how this feeling was, and just shrug it off.

From now on, just promise yourself to be happy, nothing will harm you of being in this state.

HAVE FUN WITH YOUR LIFE!

PULAU HARAPAN

REMEMBERING YOU
LONGING FOR YOU
FAIRY TALE
“I've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason, bringing something we must learn and we are led to those who help us most to grow. If we let them and we help them in return.” ― Stephen Schwartz ―
OPENING HEART

BE HAPPY FOR THE FUTURE

Just like how you don’t forget the tune when a song fades out and stops playing, I will never forget the priceless memories of our friendship even though you are going away. I can only say, see you later, buddy!

"Traveling - it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller."
Ibn Battuta

Jangan takut, aman koq!

I HAVE LEARNED

Saya berhutang pada kehidupan. Setelah sekian lama saya absen menulis disini.

“I have learned that if you must leave a place that you have lived in and loved and where all your yesteryears are buried deep, leave it any way except a slow way, leave it the fastest way you can. Never turn back and never believe that an hour you remember is a better hour because it is dead. Passed years seem safe ones, vanquished ones, while the future lives in a cloud, formidable from a distance.”
― Beryl Markham, West with the Night

“Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.” – Anonymous

I am planning to do just that! - but I'm not - yet it still my dream to be able to travel somewhere new once a year, sound like a great plan, right? *big grin*

But this island indeed my third time being on Sumatra, one of Indonesia largest island. This time I got a chance to visit Belitung. Along with some of my previous trip friends and new trip organizer - I won't recommended - finally, I can see the beauty of this island.

As usual, I won't go into detail about how the trip goes or how are you going to go there etc. You find a lot of tips and trick already. But since you're already here, why don't you just try to read my experiences instead?
THE FAMOUS SCHOOL
When I'm going on a trip. I usually do not want to go to a tourist area. I don't really like the usual place. Because the regular tourist place will always be hectic and full of people. Therefore, sometimes going on a journey with strangers I just met, make me a little bit uneasy. But, since you're already paid the trip, all you have to do just move along with the rest of the tour itinerary. While you wish you will have a new travel experience, for sure.

It was not a very lucky day for us to be there, the weather was gloomy, raining and cloudy most of the day. So, this is my suggestion, don't go to Belitong during May-June. We only have one day of clear sky on the first day, after that was just raining all day.

THE PLACE CLOSED
One of the exciting moment for me was being able to visit the Andrea Hirata - Museum Kata. Unfortunately, the place is closed for renovation when we were there. Yet, it was raining hard when we passed this place after we went to the school. Still, rain will not stop up from taking any pictures. Can't you imagine the colorful facade, it's very Instagram-able place, but since it's raining, it's so hard to get the perfect angle to shoot. At least, there are some I can put in here to look at, right?

These giant stones really fascinating don't you think? But do you know how some of the area in Belitong have lots of these rocks? Here are some facts you can actually read.

The appearance of granite stones in the islands of Bangka Belitung in the form large pieces of stones attracting attention. In geology, these giant granite stones are in fact is part of an igneous body rock that became the bedrock of western part of Indonesia which is called as batholith. Distribution of granite is actually not only found in Bangka-Belitung but also appeared in Riau Islands to the peninsula of Malaysia, as well as on the islands of Natuna. In addition to these places, the bedrock under the Karimata Strait to the South China Sea, including in the most western part of Kalimantan, also composed of granite. Geologically, the rocks of the Triassic age of this granite to lime, or formed between approximately 200 million years to 65 million years ago (Geological Map Sheet Belitung, Bj and Sidarto, 1995). This Rock is a result of the freezing of the magma that is acidic, i.e. with a high silica content of more than 65%.

Sorry, if the original reference actually in Indonesian, but you're more than welcome to find the English version of the study, though.
THE KAOLINITE LAKE
This lake also become one of the most visit places in this area. Because most of the place was the kaolinite mining industrial place, the lake looks like this because of the leftover of the mineral in the bottom of the lake.
THE MIRROR LAKE BY AT MANGAR
This is the only nice weather when we first arrived and having lunch with a view like this. You're not going to regret the taste of the foods, as long as you can stare and take a bunch of picturesque moment, I guess.
ON THE WAY
VIEW FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE

Even though the weather was gloomy and the trip not really satisfying, still being in the water was one of the best things I can relate to this journey and of course being able to meet new friends too, and going to hundreds of stairs to the top of the old lighthouse. You're not going to believe how tiring it is to go all the way up and all the way down, for a person who hardly doing daily exercise, like me.

One day, I will be back here when the weather is great. Want to tag along? Just give me a shout out!

Happy traveling,

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm, and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” – Jawaharlal Nehru

I fall in love with the beauty and wonderful of my country, because of the islands hopping trip. A few months ago, I don't have that much time and money to travel some of the nearby islands. Even though, it's only a few hours away from home.

But, it's been my life dream to be able to travel around, because I used to have a dream becoming a tour guide, myself. Then life happens and the dream isn't happening, yet. I believe, someday it will come true, I just need to push myself to the fullest.

KARANGANTU PORT
This island is still part of the thousand islands, Indonesia has. Only to be able to get here, you will go from another area. Which is another port in West Java, Serang, Banten. The name of the port is KARANGANTU – history said, the name of the port had to do with a ghost story tale. Just like the one with Ginny in the bottle, kind of story. But, we do know, every place we go there will always be a story to tell.

To be able to reach this port from Jakarta, one can take a bus from KAMPUNG RAMBUTAN bus terminal, or from KALIDERES. They will have some tickets sale to the PAKUPATAN bus terminal. The ride will take around 2-3 hours, depends on the bus driver and how many stops to get another passenger on the way.

After you arrived at the last stop, you need to take another minibus to the port. It was a short distance ride, will take around 35-45 minutes to finally arrived at the port. Then, you just have to wait for the boat to come pick you up.

The boat ride from the port to the island will take another 2-3 hour if you need to take a good nap. This probably your best time to get one. Since the island is a bit far from the city, you will see there are not much of people actually going to the island. At least, last time I went.

MONUMENT
One of the views on the boat ride to the island, we are passing by this monument. Some kind of electricity power supply for the city surrounding.

SAIL AWAY

ISLAND ENTRANCE
The island still under development, and it keeps getting help from the government. Even though it's a bit far off, but one can see the development around the island. Some of the house guests have been made, and clear water also available for us to clean ourselves.

Also, the electricity in the island only exists at night, while during the day there is no electricity. So, if you want to charge all the battery, will be during the night.

THE GRASS FIELD

THE SMALL FOREST TREES
You can find a perfect island here, from the small forest, open field and of course snorkeling place.

SNORKELING GEARS

VITAMIN SEA
Just amazing clear water to do the snorkeling around this island.
DEEP BLUE SEA

THE BRIDGE

WHITE SAND BEACH
This beach is at the other end of the island, they have 2 (two) entrance docking boats. As far as we concern about the island, garbage also the one that we are concern about. As you can see, that drifted garbage along the white sand beach. Not all the people in the island actually care about preserving this kind of awareness.

Some of the local tourists sometimes also don't really care about how they throw their garbage, or even clean after they use. This kind awareness needs to be taught from the beginning. Sometimes, it's really sad, when you have a beautiful view but you can't avoid the laying garbage around.

Hope you're not one of the local tourists who ignorance about their surrounding.

If we're destroying our trees and destroying our environment and hurting animals and hurting one another and all that stuff, there's got to be a very powerful energy to fight that. I think we need more love in the world. We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter. I definitely want to contribute to that. - Ellen DeGeneres

Have FUN exploring!

" It's a lovely experience walking around the museum by yourself "- Brad Pitt

The National Museum of Indonesia, is an archaeological, historical, ethnological, and geographical museum located in Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, right on the west side of Merdeka Square.

This is one of the major street in Jakarta, close to the Monument National, our Gambir train station, also the Presidential Palace.

New street regulation wouldn't allow any motorcycle to pass this road any more. Yet, the car also have new regulation, for the last license plate with even and odd numbers, depends on the date in the calendar. You definitely need to follow through and aware if you're going to travel around this area and coming from out of town.

Because the fine will be very high, if you're actually break the street regulation in this area.
"Be aware of even and odd numbers cars regulation, for license plate numbers, depends on the date in the calendar. Monday-Friday, unless it’s a National Holiday, start 7-10 in the morning and 4-8 in the afternoon”
